Having a professional email account linked to your domain is a great way to show off professionalism. To create a new email account, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your cPanel account. You can access this area by going to yourdomain.com/cpanel (whereas yourdomain.com is your actual domain).
  2. Underneath the EMAIL section, click on the Email Accounts icon/link.
  3. Click the blue +Create button . A new interface will appear.
  4. From the Domain menu, select the domain on which you wish to create the email account.
    1. Tip: If you don't see your domain in the drop-down list, you must connect it to your account as an add-on domain. If you are on my Business Plan, you will be able to perform this action. If you are on my Personal Plan, you will need to upgrade your account in order to enable add-on domains.
  5. Enter the username you wish to use in the Username text box.
  6. Select Set password now. and enter a password in the Password text box.
    1. If you're creating an email for someone other than yourself, you can optionally select the Provide alternate email. option. This will send a password configuration link to the receiver.
  7. In the Storage Space section, enter a custom Mailbox Quota storage size or select Unlimited to set the amount of disk space that the account may use to store email.
    1. Tip: I recommend 1024MB of storage for each email to help preserve your hosting plan's allotted storage. If you need more storage, please contact me to upgrade your plan!
  8. To send a message with client configuration instructions to the account, select the Send welcome email with instructions to set up a mail client checkbox.
    1. Tip: If you selected Provide alternate email in the Security section, the system will send the instructions to that alternate email address. Otherwise, the user can access the welcome message when they access their Webmail.
  9. Select Stay on this page after I click Create to create another email account after you create this one.
  10. Click Go Back to cancel this action and return to the Email Accounts interface.
  11. Click the blue +Create to create the account and return to the Email Accounts interface.
  12. When finished, you can now access emails directly on the server by going to yourdomain.com/webmail and entering the full email address and the associated password you just created.
